I think that's the right move. It sounded like they'd be sacrificing too much in terms of specs and quality to try to make this thing. The demand for a Pixel foldable would probably be fairly low, with stiff competition from what Samsung already offers.

I feel like I'd definitely give the Pixel Fold time in the wild to see how it fares -- and what updates come OTA -- before I jump on that bandwagon! Am I interested in it? Yes! But I will proceed with caution.

I'm hoping for the best but expecting the worst. Like you, I'm interested but I won't touch the first generation Google folder with a stick. I am perplexed by the issues with the 6/6P as my Pixel 5 is nearly flawless.

My only complaint with the Pixel 5 is not really a Pixel issue. I get returning emails after I read and delete them. Even after turning on POP Email for my Outlook account in Gmail and changing mailbox settings, some email simply keeps regenerating and displays as new mail. This doesn't happen on my iPhone with Apple Mail, so definitely a Gmail app issue.

I agree too with the current hardware offering. If and when there's a pixel fold with a Snapdragon soc I may switch from the ZFold.....if and when!?!?
