is the S21+ an upgrade?

And, although I'm guessing in reality I won't be able to tell a difference the screen resolution is going down as well? I can only assume with with a lower resolution and larger battery the phone should have better battery life. Something faster than 25W charging would have been nice this time around.

And, between the internal storage and SD card I'm not even using 100gb so the 256 should be plenty for me.

I, too, don't think I'd be able to tell the difference with things like screen resolution and such. My fear is that the phone will be too large for me to use.

I already only run at the mid resolution and can't tell a difference from the high one so hopefully it won't be a big deal on there. Still odd that they are lowering it.

I'm sure you are right and that it won't be a big deal or even that noticeable to a lot of users. I think as long as think the screen quality *looks* good, we are fine for not having the highest resolution available.

Right. The average public non phone internet forum goer such as my parents don't even likely know there are different resolution, will have no clue that this has a lower one, and are just generally happy if it looks good. I think there certainly is a point of diminishing returns on higher resolutions, just not sure at exactly what point the eye can't tell the difference.

Yeah, but they (normally) aren't the people spending a thousand bucks/euros/pounds on a phone.

Some specs are more important to people than others.
I like to know I have the best possible screen.........otherwise I may as well by a 600 mid range phone.

Yup! Some people won't even notice or won't even think to look for differences or changes in things like resolution, refresh rate, and the like. I'm kind of in the middle. I'd *like* the higher resolution or refresh rate but if my screen and such look good, I really don't mind at the end of the day. If I feel I'm getting my money's worth, I'm more than likely okay with the results.
