Is the S4 Google Edition really worth $300 more than a LG Nexus 4?

I don't think so. I just don't see the point of putting down an extra $300 for a Nexus S4. I mean, is the hardware really worth that much extra?

No. You're correct. I think the majority of people will agree with you. The S4's hardware is slightly better than the N4's but not twice as good as the price would suggest.

I agree, I'm not going to trade in my Nexus 4 for a Google edition S4 but for all those that want LTE and expandable storage I'm sure will be very happy...

When you think about it, for the price you would pay for the Nexus S4 ($650), you can get a LG Nexus 4 ($350) + a Nexus 7 ($200) and still have $100 left over to buy a Roku 3 streaming device for your HDTV. Cut it any which way, I just can't justify paying $650 for a NS4.

If you drop your phone a lot then this is definitely worth it. plus sd card, lte and removable battery.

Given my clumsy nature I would say in the time it would take for me to ruin a samsung phone, i would go thru 2 Nexus phones. If the nexus 4 wasnt made from glass, I would say no but it is fairly fragile

Galaxy S4 is not the Iron-man of phones, its having pretty bad reviews as far as durability is concerned. Nexus 4 is way more premium than S4 and costs half as much... Not worth it

It's not a Nexus S4... it's a Samsung Google Edition S4. Just because a phone has stock Android and sold in the Play Store, it's not a Nexus.

If they were to sell an upgraded N4 with LTE and 32gb and they subsidized the price then I'd take that over the S4.

I don't think the GE S4 is worth full price when you can unlock the regular S4 and put in a custom rom. updates wouldnt be as quick as Nexus but the customs would update not too long after imo.

@Return_0 is correct, it will be unlocked and only GSM capable but, it will only sell in the US... For now at least.
