Hey all,

I just received a new tab for my bday and as I am scouring the webs for tips and such, it seems like this is a much less popular tablet. Is that the case? Should I return it for something else? Just wondering what made you decide on this tablet over others.

TIA!

Good question. I, too, expected more discussion of this tab. Also with more tips and tricks

The lower price at Costco is what spurred my purchase as well as the mirror feature that works quite well with my Samsung TV
Getting it home and using it decided me in its favor. The screen is quite good. It is my first Android experience. So there is a learning curve. Moving between apps is more cumbersome than on my Play book. and the home, back, etc button is not intuitive.

But it traveled well this weekend and worked well on motel WiFi.

I love this tablet and I'm surprised I can't find more about it. XDA is another good place to check out.

However, I'm really considering getting the Nexus 9 when available. I just might keep it if I like it better, and sell the Tab S.

I researched for 2 weeks before deciding on the 10.5 32 gb Samsung Galaxy Tab S and never looked back.

The 10.1 I had previously decided on was only available refurbished and that got me wondering why - it had been discontinued! I didn't want a discontinued model.

There are a few perks to the Tab S 10.5 32gb - like it takes a 128 gb sd card and it will install to your sd card!

Only available at BestBuy but they give you 2 weeks to decide if you like it. I have no regrets!

I wanted an upgrade to my Nexus 7 and wanted this tablet. I watched a bunch of videos on it as well as many reviews and decided to take the plunge on a Samsung product my first. So far I'm liking this tablet haven't even thought much about the N9. The size is perfect for me and of course that screen is awesome.

Thanks for the replies guys! I too am switching from an old Nexus 7. Love this, just wish there was more info available. ..

I'm interested in this one only for the OLED screen. The nexus would be my choice otherwise. Stock Android L and lots of users so no doubt about the support, both official and unofficial.

I don't know, I just figured its because it's a high end tablet, and tablet sales are down because most people are satisfied with the ones they already have. And perhaps many were waiting to see what the next iPad would have. After 3 months with mine, I am extremely happy with the decision. I first jumped ship from an iPhone to a Galaxy S5, and then from an iPad to this tablet. After switching my phone to Android I couldn't wait to switch my tablet also, but I was just waiting for a solid high end competitor to the iPad to arrive.
