Is the stock charger a smart charger?

Does it keep charging the battery at 27W even if it's at 100%? I'm concerned the battery's longevity will be compromised if I leave the phone plugged in overnight. Any idea?

It charges slower as battery gets closer to full charge. If you really want to maintain battery longevity you should avoid frequent deep discharges and full charging. I also avoid charging overnight.

Is full charge damaging to the battery even without deep discharge? I read somewhere you should keep the battery between 20-80% at all times if you want to maximize longevity.

Yeah, fully charging degrades the battery more even if you avoid deep discharge. That's probably why the charging LED color turns green at 90%. Staying between 20 - 80℅ is better for battery longevity. 40- 50℅ is best if phone won't be used for a while.
