Is the T-Mobile G2 same as AT&T, in terms of case compatibility?

Can I pick up a case from T-Mobile and use it on my AT&T LG G2?

All cases on Amazon (Incipio, Slim Armour) say that they will fit both ATT and T-Mobile (but not Verizon), so I am pretty sure the answer is yes. (AT&T has a small noise canceling mic hole on the back, that the International versions don't have. You should probably verify that T-Mobile also has it.)

I see, that's a good indicating feature that we can look for and tell if it is compatible or not, unless T-Mobile's cases block that microphone as well..

I have the Tmobile LG G2 and i bought the slimarmor case ( AT&T and Tmobile ) The case has noise canceling mic hole on the back even though my phone doesnt have that mic... So If you're buying a Tmobile only case then I would suggest looking for that noise cancelling mic hole near the upper right of the camera.

You mean T-Mo's G2 does not have the microphone?
Thanks for the suggestion.

Yup the case has a hole for the mic but my G2 doesnt have a mic there.

Thank you so much for the pictures, all this time I thought they were the same, I guess they are same body-wise in dimensions and weight, but there are few things here and there that are different.
I just picked it up and yep, I do have the 3rd mic hole on the back of my G2.

Return the favor by posting picture of mine, I am sure someone must have posted one before..

How do you like the Slim Armor case?

Well first of all, youll notice that itll give you a significant addition of bulk. It adds like 50% more thickness to the G2. But since its a 600Dollar investment for me, I dont mind it at all. It feels safe and secured in the case. I haven't dropped it yet (yay!) so i can't tell you if its great for drops but it seems like it would save it from a good high point drop. Its a finger print magnet too but easily cleaned. Plus I didn't like the plastic feel so it gives it more of a premium feel... something like the Iphone 5's . but not that premium. Just close to it. Its a two layer case. One is a soft flexible one then you add the colored hard cover on it. If you don't mind having a hefty addition to the bulk of your phone, I would recommend it. If not, then I would say look at something else.

Got the Metal Slate one.

Thanks! This helped a lot. I ordered Diztronic, after seeing it have great reviews and was reasonably priced.
Amazon.com: Diztronic Matte Back Black Flexible TPU Case for LG G2 (AT&T Only - Model LG-D800) - Retail Packaging: Cell Phones & Accessories

I didn't want to get those $3 cases, although this doesn't look like it has a lot of protection but it seems to be fine.
I really wanted to get D30 Impact Gel Case from AT&T, but that visible orange was a turn-off.
LG G2 D3O Impact Shell - Smoke | T-Mobile
I tried to get some feedback on D3O here, but nobody responded, I assume nobody bought that before?

honestly, I've never seen that case before! I didn't even bother to look at Tmobile's website cuz I always assume that its way overpriced for a case. and Good choice of a case, that was one of my choices too when bought my G2 but the slim armor's Slate color really got me

I know, that material looks very nice, but like I said I didn't care for that orange strip. I am looking for a pouch to go with the case I got now, you know those little velvet pouches with drawstring, they used to be dime a dozen on ebay, they are not around anymore..

Found similar ones, but I think the ones I am referring to are no longer on sale. I like that last one, similar to this:
Genuine Real Black Leather Pull Tab Slide Pouch Case | eBay

But these are going to be too tight with any kind of case.

There is also this: 'Black' L Neoprene Rubber Pouch for LG Optimus G2 Case Cover Slip | eBay
and
Leather Open Top Cover Case Pouch for LG G2 Phone Black Holster Belt Clip New | eBay

and then I think the same thing you posted:
Black Sleeve Pouch Cover Case for LG Google Nexus 5 G2 Motorola Moto X | eBay

I think I am going to go with the last one, just a normal little pouch for normal daily storage so it is easier to toss the phone around, and won't collect too much dust in pocket.

FYI, I picked up the T-Mobile D30 Impact Shell Case:
LG G2 D3O Impact Shell - Smoke | T-Mobile

It fits the AT&T version with no problem and with all of the correct cut-outs.
It's not bulky at all, yet it definitely offers more protection (especially to the edges) than the Incipio Feather case.
(And it's 25% off using coupon code: 25HOLIDEAL)

I was going to ask you to post some pictures, are you editing your post now? :)

Wow, you can't even see the orange strip, that was my main complain, can you post a bit lighter pictures? It still looks awesome.
Does the coupon work in store? It would mean only $22.50 + tax for the case.

The pics are visible on my computer (and phone).
The orange strip is barely visible (I actually like it). The case is a smoky grey and the sides have a slight orange tint.
Coupon worked on line (not sure if it does in store).
$34.99 X .75 = $26.24 (+ tax).

I don't see the pictures on your post above, but when I quote I see the links, strange.
Thanks again for sharing, I think I am going to stop by T-Mo store tomorrow just to see how the case feels and looks in person. My Diztronic should arrive tomorrow, and I can make a decision if I should keep it or go with T-Mo case.

Did you check out the D3O case? Thoughts? Thanks

Used Diztronic for about a month and finally gave up on any case.

Nothing feels as good as this phone when it is naked. I just love the feeling of sliding my finger off the edges of the phone.
I think this is one of those phones that are not meant to be enclosed in a case.
The phone feels so much better without one.
I am still keeping the Diztonic in case I go on an adventure or something.

I might go so far to get rid of screen protector as well.

The only problem is slippery back.

I understand that. Phone is a great size without a case. As for naked phone, maybe you should consider a body skin that would give a bit of grip. Cheers
