Is anyone else reconsidering not getting the Ultra? Between the price, color (only black for 512), and hump, I feel like I'm compromising a lot. I have pre-ordered it but I'm going to need to see what it looks like in a case.

I saw it at Best Buy and the hump really stands out

I mean, if the camera is good enough I won't really mind it. That however, is yet to be seen. I also haven't seen it in person yet so I'm not sure how much it will bother me.

Between the new Xbox, Ps5, a new TV and a car....... I'll still probably end up keeping the preorder lol

I worried about that briefly, but since Verizon was offering the Otterbox Defender case with it, that appears to give it pretty good protection and lessens greatly how much the camera mound protrudes and is exposed to damage.

Yeah it looks a bit odd and bulky. I'll probably get used to it though. I just hope the S View case covers it up. I'm not a fan of the huge bulky cases.

I believe most cases will disguise it by raising the lip to offer protection. In other words, the cases will have the same bump as the phone. My Ringke case certainly does.

Probably but the s view looks completely flat on the back with the camera lenses inside the lip of the case. So they must offset that inside the case I'm assuming.

I was saying the camera bump looks awkward even when the S20 came out, but I still pre-ordered. I plan on getting the ESR camera lens cover which is black - the contrast of the black against the bronze should look pretty cool, slap a clear case on, viola. I can't wait.

Sure I would have preferred not have that big hump but not a deal breaker based on what I experienced using the Ultra. Once you put a case it kind of becomes ok, but if you are non case person then it can be bothersome.

My main question is what's taking so much space to make that big hump? Does the telescope mirror lens set up takes all that space? Don't think Huawei phones with similar setup have that big humps. Even with that big hump the photos aren't anything better than Pixel or iPhone. Pixel is all software, but iPhone with similar three camera setup minus the telescope zoom is overall better camera for photos/videos IMO and no big hump.

I have both black and clear lens covers. Not sure what will look best to me, so I'll pick my poison.

No. I slap my phone in a case and I never have to deal with camera humps.

Not really as I know it will be in a case and let’s face it for great cameras you need a hump

If you use a minimal case it might be an issue. Some of the moderate ones will make flush. If you opt for something more protective it will be recessed.

The hump certainly wouldn't stop me from buying as I already ordered and I'm also used to it with the S20 Ultra.
