Is there a "Bet your launcher can't do that" for Touchwiz?

As in the title, is there a "Bet your launcher can't do that" feature in Touchwiz? I've been actually trying Touchwiz out a bit today and I have yet to find anything I can't duplicate, or surpass, in Launcherpro. All of the Samsung widgets have clones available in Launcherpro or on the market. It isn't any prettier or faster or more efficient or even easier to use or configure.

So, what's the draw? Am I missing some cool feature, or should I go back to Launcherpro and never look back?

It you like LauncherPro, I say use it. I haven't used the TW launcher since shortly after I got my phone. I'm on ADW EX right now and lovin' in.

I was actually looking up ADW today. I wouldn't mind giving it a try. I use LPP mostly. I used Touchwiz for a couple of days and BOY is it UGLY. I don't know how I used it for the first month when I had my phone! Feels like a handicapped launcher to me. So limited and bland. And WHY are the icons so big on the bottom bar? Don't insult my eyesight. The only thing I like about it is the program monitor widget. I wish these phone manufacturers would just stick to making phones and stop smearing their stuff all over top of the Android OS. Sorry for the rant, lol. Just sayin'.

I'm not a fan of the samsung widgets- but did like being able to change the ORDER of your homescreens and change the icons at the bottom of the dock and change the order of the apps in the app tray to a manual arrangement. (on Epic these are only available with OS 2.2 Froyo) These features are big advantages over other launchers that have been copied by the likes of Go Launcher and a few are still missing from launcher pro. (like changing Home page order) Why Touchwiz is maligned I think is the color blocks behind the apps should be a toggleable option, and they don't have the standard vertical or 3d app tray option and that is annoying for some. Their widgets are worthless- they don't use the screen space well and don't display much info- the better ones like Daily Briefing aren't offered on Epic for no reason.

I love Launcher Pro Plus, but it is a resource HOG. I'm just a crazy fan for the HTC inspired widgets- but really wish he could get his rewritten code to be as minimal RAM wise as Zeam or AM Launcher.

And that's the thing. I love LPP, but I haven't tried any of the other launchers. Like ADW. Although, I did try AM Launcher as that was in a revision of Truly Epic ROM a while back. I loved it. Plain and simple. The 3D app drawer was really smooth compared to LPP.

As for it being a memory hog, I don't think it's too bad of a problem on my device. Also, with using some of the stipped down versions of midNIGHT ROM, it's the ONLY launcher on the device. It's not running on top of what's already there.

I agree it's a memory hog, but high end phones like the Epic have plenty. There's no point being stingy and it's easier on the processor (and therefore battery) to keep stuff in memory.

TW is crap, plain and simple. There's nothing it can do that other launchers can't, and there's plenty of things other launchers do better. The only useful thing Sammy ever did was tweak the notification bar. They should keep their fingers out of the software cookie jar and stick to hardware.
