Well, i know vzw has unlimited data, but is it really unlimited, or if you go over a certain amount, will they cap you or anything? The only thing i saw was that they said top 5% may be throttled, but didnt see anyhing else. I heard someone mention to me 5gb, so worrued because i am way over that.

I've been well over 5gb several times (near 30gb) on my DX before I had wifi at home, and never heard anything about it and never noticed being throttled.

They might throttle you. I don't believe 5gb means anything, but I guess it's the line were people may have been hit with throttling in the past? Although we've all heard people going way past that without being throttled.

Technically, it is unlimited, just that they can rip you out of the Ferrari and throw you into a Pinto if they feel like it.

Here the quote...

"Verizon Wireless strives to provide customers the best experience when using our network, a shared resource among tens of millions of customers. To help achieve this, if you use an extraordinary amount of data and fall within the top 5 percent of Verizon Wireless data users we may reduce your data throughput speeds periodically for the remainder of your then current and immediately following billing cycle to ensure high quality network performance for other users at locations and times of peak demand. Our proactive management of the Verizon Wireless network is designed to ensure that the remaining 95 percent of data customers aren't negatively affected by the inordinate data consumption of just a few users."
