What are you trying to block? My S5 has a Do not disturb feature where it can block messages, calls, alarms, events, and reminders.

I've never seen anything in a phone to block calls. I use an app called Call Blocker. As soon as I get a call I want blocked, I just open the app and tell it to add a new blacklist item from my call log.

On some manufacturers they have an inbuilt blocker. There are many I like Mr Number.

I just saw this, you can block numbers by going into the call log and pressing the number you wish to block and then hit call details and there should be something there to block the number

I don't see any blocking options in call details.

Make sure you have updated the phone app from the Play Store, the new version is 2.3.12; though it appears it may have been pulled from the Play Store. I was able to update the phone app through the Play Store on my 6P and, in call history, if I long press on a number the menu that pops up has an option to "Block Number."

I'd be interested in knowing why the pulled the update; makes me fear their is an issue with my phone app. Hopefully there will be another update soon.

Update came through on my 5X. Yes, I see the blocking option. And, yes, I agree it's troubling that the update was pulled.

I just have a contact saved as "block", I add any unwanted numbers to that contact. I have gone into that contact, edited it and set the option to send all calls to voicemail. My phone has rung A LOT less since I did that. Someone had given my number on some financial aid application or something, the calls wouldn't stop even when I told them they had the wrong guy. If I answered the phone with my name ("name speaking") they'd just hang up when they realized they had the wrong number. When I made that contact and set it that way, the calls diminished as the numbers added up. I did this on my Moto X running KitKat and the send to voicemail setting carried over with the contact when I set up my 6P.
