Is there any app where I could press a button and say find Michael Gordon and it will bring up the contact information? I know there is the Google app for questions but is there anything that works for the internals of the phone

Google's Assistant works with everything in your phone as well (as long as you grant the right permissions). Not sure if LG has their own voice assistant like Samsung's oft-maligned Bixby, but you can always use Google's.

Hmm, that's interesting -- I would've thought that saying "Hey Google, show my [name] in my contacts" would bring it up, but it doesn't -- it just searches the web for that contact name (even though saying "Hey Google, call [name]" will properly call that person in my contacts). I'm going to send some feedback to Google about this ...

Spook Droid was right. I just say call Sheena Easton and it gives me all her numbers and then says to me, she's out of your league bro.

Just add the person to your favorites contact, then tell Google Assistant to open contacts. The favorites will be shown on the front.
