Is there a voice activated Google Assistant alternative?

Or perhaps a voice activated "Reminders" app. When it comes to reminders, Google Assistant does a poor job on various levels.

Samsung has Bixby, I haven't used it or Google assistant in a couple years but personally thought Bixby was better at the time.

As mentioned Alexa is another option.

Why does google fail for your use? Without knowing, there is no way to know what you are looking for in reminders, The others may have the same faults.

Why does google fail for your use? Without knowing, there is no way to know what you are looking for in reminders, The others may have the same faults.

I stopped using Google Assistant reminders a while back because of numerous idiosyncrasies, including not being able to remove completed reminders. Now it can be done, albeit only one at a time.

I returned to it recently, however now, unlike before, while my phone syncs reminder notifications to my desktop, I don't get the reminders on the phone itself, either by popup notifications or in the pull down menu.
