Is there a way of seeing every single grouped notification?

When you receive 10+ messages from a single contact/group in Whatsapp for example, if you expand the grouped notifications (which says something like ContactName (12 messages) you'll be able to see around 5 messages, older ones will just disapear from the notifications. Is there a way of seeing them all without going into the app? Something like iOS where every single notification is there

I would love to have something like that, but I have never seen that ability in any of the android versions I have used (5.x to 8.0) for any of my installed apps.

The one app that comes close is Twitter. As I swipe away individual notifications, older notifications get displayed. I don't know if other apps play nicely like that since Twitter is the only app I get that many notifications for.
