is there a way of using a different keyboard layout on my N7

Is there an way to apply and use a different keyboard than what is standard on my N7?

It'd prefer a keyboard layout which has the dash, quote, colon, and single quote ( - , " , : , ' ) on the same 'menu' or keyboard as the letters, instead of mixed in with the numbers.

Up until a recent OS upgrade some or all of these were with the letters. Another Google 'improvement' (intrusion).

There are a ton of different keyboards in the Play Store you can use.

Swiftkey is community favorite but I'm partial to the Google keyboard myself.

I too find the characters mixed with the numbers a pain, they had it with the letters before and some genius at Google decided it belonged with the numbers, wish they put it back where it was.

You could always try Thumb Keyboard, they have tons of different layouts to choose from
