Is there a way to boost/gain bluetooth microphone?

I use a few bluetooth headphones that have good audio quality when it comes to listening to music, but my friends complain that the microphone volume is too low on voice calls (yes, even with call volume set to max).

So I was wondering if there's any setting or app that can boost the bluetooth microphone beyond its default level? I looked in the store but the only apps I found were the kind that amplify ambient sound. Nothing to do with boosting your mic input level.

I assume you've already tried Microphone Amplifer? Doesn't get very good reviews, but still worth a try.

Thanks for responding. Yeah, I've tried that app and a few others and unfortunately they either just act as "super-sensitive" listening devices, like for spying purposes (which doesn't affect voice calls), or they don't work at all. So far, can't seem to find an app that will increase the volume of my voice when I make calls.

Obviously, the long-term solution is to get equipment with a better microphone, but I'm hoping there's some kind of software workaround.
