Is there a way to fix my phone screen going dark and yellow after being dropped?

Hello, I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and I cracked the screen on it about a year and a half ago, but continued using it as if nothing ever happened, I dropped it every now and again but nothing bad really happened except a few new cracks and a few bits of glass falling out, until today, when I dropped it face down from a coffee table onto a hardwood floor, I picked it up and noticed that the screen went really dark, to a point where I had to turn the brightness to maximum in order to see anything, and even then it's a struggle to be able to see a thing. The color of my screen is yellow and all the numbers and letters leave a trail when I swipe in any direction, if that makes sense, so if I scroll up and down really fast, there's just a black mess of letters on my screen for a short while. Is there a way to fix this without having to get a new phone or having to pay a ton for repairs? I tried restarting, and taking the battery out and leaving it out for a while, but neither of those helped.
