Is there a way to improve audio quality (poor compared to my work iphone 8)?

Hi,

I have an iphone 8 at work and the audio quality of the iphone just blows away my personal note 8. When just using the phones without earbuds to have a conversation the iphone sounds way better. When listening to music with earbuds the iphone also sounds way better.

Does the iphone just have a better DAC chip, in which case there's no way I can make my note 8 sound as good? Or is there something I can do to get it up to iphone audio quality?

You could try an equalizer app. "Better" doesn't tell us in which way it's better. If you want more bass, more treble, that sort of thing, an equalizer will do it. But if the sound is raspy, you may have a defective speaker.
