Is there a way to keep screen on, showing a selected app?...

...rather than returning to clock screen after a certain amount of time. I'd like to open the music player and have it be there all the time without a screen timeout or return to home. Possible?

AFAIK...no. You can set the watch to always on: settings>display>watch always on. You can also use the "double press home key" to open a specific app: settings>device>double press home key...mark what you want to open with the double press. Hope that helps.
