Is there a way to quickly answer a call when phone is locked?

I enabled the 9-pt gesture lock on the phone so that my data is protected-ish in case of loss, but... is there a way to bypass that to quickly answer an incoming phone call? Or do I have to always do the unlock drag and then the gesture drag, and then click answer?

I'm pretty sure u don't have to use your unlock pin to answer a call

I thought all you had to do was drag the unlock thing down to answer.
