Is there a way to remove Google search bar from home screen?

I'm wondering if it is possible to just remove the search bar without disabling Google now? I use the swipe to the right feature on stock launcher and would like to retain that functionality. I am also not rooted and would prefer to continue using the stock launcher. Thanks

You can't remove the Google Search Bar if you're unrooted and running the Google Now Launcher. 3rd party launchers like Nova Launcher do give you the option to remove the Search Bar, but I don't think you get the Google Now screen as the leftmost homescreen. Still, it's easy enough to do the usual swipe-up from the home button to activate Google Now, and I think you can also designate a gesture to bring it up as well in Nova Launcher.

Wow, I'm really disappointed to hear that. I've messed around with other launchers but really prefer the stock launcher. I just don't use the toolbar and would prefer the extra screen space.
