Is there a way to save photos when playing a video you recorded?

This is my very first smart phone ever!! Yes I know I decided to get with it, but now I am learning how to do so much. And I wanted to know on a Sprint Galaxy 3 if there was a way you could save a picture within playing back a video you recorded on your phone? I know my friends can with their other phones and wanted to know if I am missing something. If so please show me how.

Pause the video, and then take a screenshot. You can take pictures while creating the video.
