Is there a way to turn off the emoji suggestion?

[AC Question]

When typing it will highlight some words in a gray box to give an emoji suggestion. The problem is that sometimes these words are misspelled, but if I try to click on them to fix whatever typo, it gives me an emoji suggestion instead moving the cursor there so that I can fix the incorrect word. This is the dumbest feature ever and it's driving me nuts. Is there any way to turn it off?
