Is there an Android app similar to IOS Find my Phone that allows me to track my children's location?

My family recently upgraded from older Apple phones to Samsung Edge 7s. Previously, phones were linked as part of my Apple account and I was able to track/confirm locations of the kids through their Find My Phone app. When we switched to Edge 7, I set up Google+ location feature, but often it will not refresh and location is not always accurate. For example, a phone could be here at home, and location indicates device is several miles away.

I would like to find an app that has better location accuracy that will refresh (e.g., the Apple Find My Phone App). Any suggestions?

You could use Device Manager (google.com/android/devicemanager) It polls the device for a location when you open the page, and you can install a device manager app on another device. You will need your account on the device and there will be a notification that the device was located when you open the page.
