Because I really dislike this dragging up & down to pick up or ignore calls.

Not that I'm aware of. I still miss having a dedicated button to answer the phone, at least we can use the power button to hang up in Froyo!

I do believe I remember seeing a mod to change the capacitive buttons to do different things. I will see if I can find that again (no promises.. )

Check here, I already posted a question to the dev. His mod allowed people to use the capacitive search key to hang up phone calls. I posted if it was possible to remap the mod to answer phone calls..

Interesting - something I'll look into for the next version of TrulyEpic Rebirth. Can't be much harder than remapping the smiley key or the power button.

Ragnarokx, if you check that link I posted I believe the dev listed some resources for remapping the button. Yes it does sound like a idea for future update/version. Maybe even the Mini Theme.... We will have to talk.

I'm familiar with that thread - it's how I learned to remap the buttons for TER v1.2. I'll do some experimenting tomorrow and see what I can make happen.

Yes I just looked at the key files and I can make out everything, just need to find out what is needed to answer the call.. If I knew how to read XML files we could open up and understand in the Phone.apk what makes it tick....

The most customization I've seen with the incoming call screen is color changes and default contact picture changes. I think your best bet would be to look for an app that can pop-up before that screen - I think I've seen something like that before but I can't quite place it.

Someone will have to port it over. I would think if its possible at this time someone over at XDA would of done it seeing how they are "aware" of such a thing existing.

AOSP Incoming Call Screen in CM6 is what mysteryemotionz says has such a mod.

I'm assuming this screen is controlled by dialer.apk. I've actually tried adding it to my ROM before but I got a barrage of force closes. If I have some time perhaps I'll look into porting it.
