AC Question

My phone has an overheating issue i put in a safe mode there's no third party apps,i have clean up the cache.Last option is to factory reset my phone.I didn't back up my storage..i can't use my phone to back up it won't allow to go to settings.I've downloaded smart switch but it can't connect cause of the overheating issue.is there any other way to back up my storage to Mac pc??

I don't believe that there are any other stock options, but I will move this to the s6 forum for more visibility

OTG cable and memory stick. Use the default file manager app to copy everything over to the memory stick.

You can also buy memory sticks that have both a USB end and microUSB end, so that you don't need the OTG cable.

Smart switch worked perfectly for me last weekend. Downloaded it to my computer and then pulled up the app in my phone. Put all my music on the computer along with all my apps etc. Had to factory reset my phone, seamlessly put it all back on my phone when I was done. I didn't even know Smart Switch was available for the computer until last weekend. It was a godsend.

I've always wondered about doing a factory reset and then restoring all. I would think you would restore the problem?

Does Smartswitch also restore all your app icons and shortcuts on your homescreens and app settings?

Yes, all apps except my bill app I have, that one was blank when i restored. My alarms, everything was seamless! I'm also wondering about the probability of "backing up" the problem. That's interesting, because the reset did not fix my connection problems.

My bookmarks were saves and basically everything Google restored. My wallpaper was one from months ago for some reason and no icons were saved. I had to remake the folders and set all that up again.
