Is there any other way to remove e-mails from the server other than deleting them from the trash?

Removing e-mails from the server

I just found out that you can only remove read e-mails from the server by deleting them from the trash folder. This is the only android device that I am familiar with that doesan't allow you delete the read e-mails from the inbox. I even have the AT&T LG pad (99 cents) that allows you to delete from the inbox. I called LG and the tech. support told me that is the only way to remove the mail from the server on the LG4. That is annoying but only really a small annoyance, given the phone has so many other positives.
Anybody out there have a solution to this annoyance?

AquaMail and Maildroid have an option to delete mail immediately. Possibly some other email clients do too. Apparently using a different email client is the only way to get this function.

Android since v1.0. Linux user since 2001.
