Is there any reason to NOT purchase the XL unlocked version?

I am on Verizon now but may switch to a different carrier during the next year. Is there any good reason to not buy the unlocked version while on verizon?

Will I still have as good of a signal on a unlocked Pixel on verizon network?

For sure buy the unlocked one if you are wanted to root your device. Other then that it doesn't matter. Even if you buy a Verizon version today you can still use it on any carrier. The unlocked devices refers to bootloader unlocked Not carrier unlocked. Both are carrier unlocked

The only difference is a locked bootloader versus an unlocked one.

Only reason I can see is Verizon financing and maybe 100 off at best buy? Thinking I should edit my last post to says it doesn't matter what you buy.

Unlockable bootloader is mostly just so you can root and rom. You can also flash images if needed. Most regular users will never do anything with an unlockable bootloader.
