Android Central Question

I was using galaxy s4 with android kitkat. I know i'm a laggard, but i don't like alternations on newer android versions that much. But eventually i changed my phone to galaxy s8, which means i have to use android oreo.
So,
1. is there any way i can use recent apps button as a menu button?(instead of the three dots, or using both, i don't care)
2. and any way i can see recent apps by holding home button?

i don't care about rooting, but i prefer not to root the phone.

thanks.

I think you'll like Oreo but that won't happen until it's out of beta. S8 still ships with 7.o

I changed my recent apps to this configuration as soon as I saw the option in beta. Just think it is easier to navigate than card shuffle layout.
