Is there any way to disable the 3G radio on a 4GLTE phone?

Are the 2 tied together and you can't disable one without both of them getting disabled? I would really like the 3G to be disabled as I really don't want to use it. I only want to use the 4G.

I have never used that app yet. I am just having issues with my data cap/throttle. For the first month I had used it the data wasn't going anywhere when I was using 4G. It only added to it on the 3G. Now on this month it seems like it almost instantly goes to 2500MBs and doesn't add up much anymore as if it was using 3G all the time and somehow hit that amount very quickly. I am just wanting to stop this annoying throttle that is why I upgraded to a 4G phone.

Wonder if your area has solid 4g. You could be seeing 3g climb faster due to the fact that 4g is not always available. For the most part you're able to consume more data on a 4g signal much faster than a 3g

Right if you want to limit data consumption then you would want to disable 4g.

Ok, I have the app. I have it on LTE only so how can I get LTE and phone? With LTE only it only has LTE data and no voice option. So what option do I select to get 4G LTE and voice so it will stop trying to switch to 3G? As it drains my battery and it annoys me aside from it going slower when it is on 3G. I just want 4G LTE and voice no other data options that it switches to. My coverage is max according to the sprint site. Just inside it may try to switch to 3G sometimes and since I have the connections optimizer it automatically switches back to 4G but it really screws everything up.

I will get a screenshot if I can. What is the best way take a screenshot on the phone?

On my note 3 , I press the home and power keys simultaneously. But different phones are different which phone do you have?

Lte only would give you 4GLTE only. You can try gsm only to see what it gives you

I think it should give you data. Just try and see. You can always switch back

It didn't work. It just automatically switched back to LTE only. And it actually has a SIM card in it which I thought was GSM weird.

The LTE is integrated. So it just looks for the best available network. If you don't have 4g coverage in the area, then it will connect you to 3g.

Yeah I know. And as I had said I have full coverage for 4G LTE. It is just that it is a virgin mobile phone and I don't know if it can access the higher frequency to get the best coverage possible or not. Is there a way I can figure out which one it is connected to?
