my brother-in-law. Verizon store sales person told me today that he would have had to initiate the contract for me to get it. My bro-in-law is a Verizon customer. Another sales rep at another store gave me the impression that it was easy to just put the info in, etc. (when she was giving me plan rate info).

I already have a signed contract as of yesterday. Really need a discount.

Thanks for any tips.

I don't get what you are asking. Why are you trying to get a discount though? You would need to do what is called a "change of liability" on your account. Both you and he would need to visit the store and he basically agrees to take responsibility for your bill. They can then set up the discount for you. Note that I said CORPORATE STORE.. ZWireless is a reseller but are often confused with corporate stores.

The easiest way to get any kind of discount through the employer of the account holder. Verizon offers discounts though many employers. To get it you need to check eligibility on the website or by visiting a corporate store. If eligible you need only present a name badge/employee ID or a current pay stub at your corporate store and they can set it up. I get 20% off most things on my bill, 25% off accessories and $50 off most handsets (anything 4G and/or from Motorola)
