Is there any way to stretch to fit a youtube video?

Not talking about the zoom to fit which crops the top and bottom. Even if I had to root my phone I think it would look better than zoom to fit.
I have a S9+

Are you talking about trying to make a video that is not shaped to your screen size artificially fit your screen?
For example, stretching a 16:9 video to fit an 18:9 screen so that there are no black margins?

The YouTube app does not do this. It just give the options of "fit with margins" and "fill with cropping".

I don't see YouTube adding this "stretch" feature due to:
- most folks not wanting the distortion
- the constant computations will drain the battery faster and create CPU heating.

That said, you can certainly make the enhancement request to YouTube.
