I got the storm 2 on release day i have been mostly satisfied with it without too many complaints... i'm currently on my second one because of screen issues with the first one. Overall i think its a good phone... but what i would like to know if anyone has any success getting Verizon to let you upgrade to another phone ( i want the incredible) even though i just upgraded 6 months ago. Of course i know i could pay retail but i don't see any phone being worth $600 no matter how good it is.

So basically can i call and complain about the various issues and instead of having them send me a new storm could i get them to let me switch phones?

thanks

yeah thats what i did with my first storm i actually didn't end up paying anything for my storm 2 once all was said and done.

i have never been able to pull it off. but a person i know can sweet talk any verizon salesperson. in the past four years of college he has had literally 7 phones. a krzr, that crazy flip tv screen one. Lg dare, lg voyager, blackberry storm, storm 2 and now on the Droid........nothing is every wrong with these phones either he is just picky or something idk.

He claims he never pays full price. but i dont know for sure. he is quite affluent, and his parents pay for everything. So he could be paying full retail and just saying hes a sweet talker and gets it for new contract price. I really dont know.

The best i personally did was upgrade a full week early from my previous phone, a blackberry 8330. To my now, droid. lol, even now i will be swapping the droid out for an incredible next week. its still within my 30 day trial period.

that's what i did. Told them that the Dare was a POS and i was either going to get the Droid or iPhone. They ended up giving me the droid for the pice with a 1-year contract which was something like $350 at the time.

They don't do multiFru as a policy for a few months now.

After two storms I doubt you will get any love. I went through 6 curves.

If you get it, great, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Once you get the inc you will have a storm2 lying around doing nothing. You can probs get a couple $100 out of it on eBay. There are still plenty of crackberry users out there ;)
