Is this a genuine update?

[Android Central Question]

I opened my tablet just now to see the attached screen.

In the absence of any mention of Samsung or Android my first thought it that it is a scam. Can anyone shed any light on this 'updare' please?

To the OP, there's an easy way to figure out if you have a legitimate update available. Get out of whatever screen you're trying to share, then go to Settings>Biometrics & Security>Security Update, and see if anything comes up. You can also select Google Play System Update to see if one of those is available as well.
