on my evo the screen has one spot that is brighter than the rest. It is noticeable more with brighter screens such as white backhrounds.

Had the EVO since day 1, now I just noticed it, I really didn't notice it much and here I am trying to sell it. May have to pull it off.

There's another thread about this also. It seems to be with the 002 hardware versions.

You will most likely be able to get a refurb right from a Sprint store within a year of purchase because this is a manufacturer problem.

I'd say yes this is normal but it's also broken.

I had this issue and I just took it to a repair center and they were able to replace my lcd screen. I've been on the new screen for about a month now with no new issue. I have the repair/insurance so it was free.

I have it on my 003 revision. Pretty much only one white backgrounds. Hardly notice it so don't care. Looks like a little 'smudge' that slightly lighter than the rest. Where is it located on the screen? Wonder if its in the same place if its something behind the screen pushing on it or something. Mine is about an inch about the arrow key from the bottom of the phone is maybe about the size of a pencil erase in diameter.

Mine is in the spot where the letter b comes up on the on-screen keyboard. I have read thats where its located. Haven't had a chance to take mine to get Sprint to look at it yet.

It's barely noticeable. And like you said, only really on REALLY bright screens.
Notice some light seeping on the very bottom. is this on all Evo's?

I have this as well more central from top to bottom and more on the right side.

I noticed it a few weeks ago but it doesn't really bother me enough, with all the problems I hear of and mine has none besides this little spot, I don't want to take a chance at replacing it.

I have 002 and have two spots like that. One in the same place as shown above and the other about half way up and about 3/4" from the left side of the screen.

As already mentioned, can't see it unless looking at a blank white page, such as when I go to enter a note. Gonna keep an eye on it to see if it gets worse.

Yup I have it too, but I noticed it almost 2 months ago.... but like others are saying, it's no big deal to me so I could care less... as long as it doesn't lead to some other problem.. Does anyone know what causes this???

Perhaps maybe ZAGG invisible shield related (just a guess)

I don't have a zagg shield here.

I have the same problem with two bright white spots on the right side. It is not noticeable unless on a blank white screen. My phone works great otherwise. I was thinking it might be a reflection from my screen protector, but it sounds like it is probably light leakage or something else. I am ok to live with it unless it gets worse.

I started now noticing the spots on the bottom besides the two on the right side. They are becoming more noticeable. Should I take it in to Sprint or just live with it. The phone, besides this light leakage, or whatever you call it, is the only problem with the phone. Everything else works perfectly. What should I do, leave it alone or bring it to Sprint to see what they can do?

I've got this too. In the exact same spot as the pic that posted. Think I'm just gonna live with it, unless it gets worse.
