So basically my case is a bit wierd. It's hard to press the power button, and sometimes when I try to turn my phone off it turns back on because my finger was too slow ( you know what I mean ) to get off the power button so it turns back on instantly. Is it bad for the software?

Sorry I get paranoid of very little things like this.

Yes, it will mean that problems will occur a little sooner, though so little that it would be almost impossible to estimate, and not worth trying to estimate. It would be rather like describing Brighton Beach as it is, and Brighton Beach as it would be with one pebble less.

By turning off and on, are you referring to just the screen, or fully powering down the phone and rebooting? It sounds like you're just turning the screen off and on, which wouldn't cause any problems. With any phone I've used, you have to press and hold the power button, then select an on screen option to power it down.

Turning the screen on and off.
Though note, I said when I turn the screen off, it instantly turns back on.

Sorry, can you explain a little more detail?
As I said before, english isn't my mother language, so sorry.

Thanks for the clarification. You aren't going to cause any damage with this happening.

To address root cause, are you sure this isn't possibly a defective power button?

You could also adjust the screen time out setting so you don't have to press the button. Some phones also allow gesture control. If yours has that, you can set a gesture to turn the screen off. If not, you could try a third party launcher. Many of them have gesture controls that you can use from their home screen.

What I mean is that the difference that it would make to the software would be so small as to be unmeasurable. You could try to think about what it might be, but it would not be worth doing so. Hence my Kafkaesque comparison.
