Is your G1 or MyTouch lagging?

I am sure many users are experiencing lag time between screens. Very Annoying, Right? I have tried downloading a Task Killer but that only helped a bit. Since I am new to this site, I am not sure if this has been suggested. I just found possibly an unknown "treasure" and VERY helpful solution. Its "Spare Parts" in the Android Market (USE ONLY WITH 1.5 or 1.6). I downloaded it this week. In settings, I checked-off "Fast" in the TWO "Animation" settings and now its SUPER-Fast! Its like a "Touch Phone on Caffeine!"

Turning it off helps as well. If you don't want any animations.

I've tried it both ways and find that placing the settings on "Fast" is far superior. The phone moves from one screen to the next quicker and smoother.
