Is your main "computer" a Desktop, Laptop, or a Smartphone?

My main is an All In One HP 34" Widescreen with a Core I7. I got tired of building $4k gaming rigs that I hardly game on anymore and wanted to save on space. This was a nice compromise vs multi-screen setups and space savings. I have several laptops as backup (Lenovo x250, Microsoft Surface Book, Dell E7250) and 2 tablets. It all depends on my needs, where I am, and what I'm doing. I'm an IT manager, so I have access to lots of stuff and I get to use some for personal use as I test for staff.

I use my phone for everything but my main computer is my PC since I like to game. ;).

Re: Is your main "computer" a Desktop, Laptop, or a Smartphone?

It's a mixture of smartphone (50%), tablet (25%), and laptop (25%) for me.

How about you @Ry?

50% desktop (Windows and Linux), 50% tablet (ipad). I couldn't use a smartphone as a main computer - no way would the screen would be big enough (for me) and typing is anything but comfortable. I wonder if the smartphone phenomenon hasn't gone too far - they were fine for phone, sms even whatsapp etc and the occasional specialized app but as a main computer I think it would be a case of "the tail wagging the dog". Also for the price of a flagship one could nearly buy two computers .

The desktop with the large screen is where I do:
DSLR picture processing and uploads
software coding
email and other large messages
internet browsing
video watching

The smartphone is used for
phone calls
texting, twitter, other small messages
Instagram
Lots of small, on-the-go tasks (calendar, grocery list, bus schedules)

My primary is easily laptop (50%), then phone (40%) , then tablet (10%)... Laptop is inputs ..Mobile is mainly for pulling data out.

Laptop for the larger screen and full qwerty keyboard. Phone (Note 4) fills in when away from home but is not as productive or as efficient to use as the laptop.

Laptop & Desktop 50/50. If I had to conduct my business on my phone I'd go insane. The phone is good for text, email in a pinch, pics, calls, and misc apps but in no way is it a device I'd dig into for most functions.

Don't get me wrong.....when I'm mobile, my smartphone is where it's at. I can read tech articles, entertainment stuff, social media, and even shop, but when I'm home, I'd rather be on a desktop for true multi-tasking like having a streaming app open for video (VUDU, Hulu Live, SlingTV), one browser for what I'm currently researching, and another browser for social media. I need the real estate. My mobile is mainly single tasked, unless I'm streaming music, which this year, for the first time, I did during all 4 days of Megacon here in Orlando as I walked around.

I have a desktop that I use as my main device for for games, web browsing and virtual machines. It has 228000+ points on antutu (96000 for the $50 CPU alone!!!). Whenever I feel like casually messing around while relaxing on a couch/bed, my phone comes in handy (especially since my tablet is pretty much obsolete and will be replaced in the foreseeable future). Also, my phone is my main computing device when at school or on the move.

My phone and iPad are my daily drivers.. My laptop is reduced down to working on school assignments and syncing itunes... Also, backups once a month as well!

I use a 15" MacBook Pro while at home as well as my phone. I use both probably equal amounts. I post on websites I visit from my computer 99.9% of the time.

I get tired of surfing on a smartphone.
My Windows notebook is so much better for web browsing.

Desktop is probably my main, I like to sit at the desk and have dual monitors, it's also where I game and work with photos.

I use tablets a lot around the house, have a Surface I take places when I'm away from home.

I don't use my phone a lot for browsing, don't do any photo editing on it, play few games in it. My phone is internet access when no other device is around and communication primarily. Probably why I've never had an issue with all day battery life.
