Is your Paypal/Android Pay working?

Hi all. I was incredibly excited by the news of PP integration into AP, as my bank has basically indicated they have zero initiatives into NFC ongoing or planned. However, neither my PP or AP apps have updated to allow this.

Has anyone had this updated yet? Did you sideload versions? Apkmirror doesn't show any updated apk's since the announcement. Is it already in the versions we have but waiting for a signal to be turned on?

Thanks!

I just tried adding it. On your main AP screen, tap the + at the bottom right, select other payment types and then select PayPal from the list (I also had Visa Checkout but that was not yet available). It will then ask you to log in to your PP account, generate a PIN for in-store purchases and prompt you for a top-up amount to have on your account to cover purchases (I assume this will not be needed if you carry a balance on PP) I didn't go that far, I have no plans to use that payment method.

Sadly, I don't have that option on my AP. I just have three, "Add a credit or debit card," "Add a loyalty program," and "Add a gift card." No "Other Payment Types" yet :(. So that really bums me out. Why don't I have this yet? I'm on a Pixel with beta-N program...

Not posting as a tease, this is what it looks like. Nexus 6P on 7.1.2, May patch level, not running beta for Android Pay or the OS.

For those (like me) who couldn't get this working, I read somewhere online that if your phone can upgrade to Android O, that seems to trigger it. I upgraded my Pixel to Android O Beta and.... It works! Paypal is now live on AP for me. Give it a shot! BTW: In 1 day of use so far, Android O has been rock solid.
