Is your Pixel C still going strong?

The Pixel C forum is moribund. (I didn't even know that a "Pixel 6" was in the works. Is that even a tablet, or is it a phone?)

But my Pixel C still works fine! It's my faithful companion on camping trips, when I don't care to bring my laptop computer.

How is yours lasting?

Pixel 6 is the upcoming flagship for 2021, expected to release this month. It'll be awesome.:D

I stopped using my Pixel C last year because it started to become quite sluggish, even after a factory reset. It's been admirably replaced by my Lenovo Chromebook Duet.

Pixel C was a gorgeous tablet and I really wanted to keep it, but like Diddy's experience, it got slow and buggy after a couple years. Don't really know why. I got mine used so it had ~4 years on it when it became unusable for me. Got a 2-in-1 chromebook and never looked back.

I'm sad that when my Pixel C gives up the ghost, I will be thrashing about looking for an Android tablet. No, a phone won't do. Not enough screen space.

I suppose I'll wind up with some Samsung tablet. It may be good enough for my wants . . .

eMMC storage was basically an internal SD card and they slow down and degrade over time, factory reset doesn't even fix it. All older devices that contain eMMC slow down, doesn't help early Android lacked TRIM to optimize flash storage performance.

Really?

You asked if pixel 6 is it a tablet or phone , i respond phone

Yes, I did. I apologize for making it look like I was having a go at you. I did not intend that.

To *everyone* in this thread The question about Pixel 6 was parenethetical. Its a phone. Thanks for that clarification.

This thread is about the Pixel C. Is anyone else happy to still have and use a Pixel C?
