Ok, so for as long as I can remember I have not been able to update from Gingerbread 2.3.4.
I believe when 2.3.6 came out, I got the prompt to download and install. Ok, so I did but when it was unpacking the update, it would get stuck at about 4/10th the way through then stop progress. In about 10 seconds, it would throw the error message that would stay that way indefinitely.
Recently, with the talk of ICS coming out - I really wanted to upgrade to el29 from eg30 (so I could go from there to ics). I wiped my phone and SD Card and tried both manually and OTA updating methods, both of which came up with the same results as before.
Is it time to pay Sprint a visit? If not, what else could I try - keep in mind I do NOT want to root the phone.
