Issue with 4g LTE on Verizon

I've trimmed down my sim card from my Note 4 and installed it in my Nexus 6P. I see LTE on the notification but I do not see 4g LTE like I saw when using my Note. Is this just a feature of the phone or is Verizon not allowing the higher 4g speeds. I'm sure this was asked but I cannot find a definitive answer. And I am in the Enhanced 4g LTE setting.

If you see the LTE symbol in the status bar then you have 4G. Nexus phones show it differently than Verizon's branded devices. Those phones say "4G LTE" only because Verizon wants them to. It's all the same.
