issue with automated system on phone calls

Is anyone else having issues with automated menus on phone calls. Every time I have one of those automated systems that says press 1 for this, press 2 for that etc, when I press the option I want it acts like I did not make a selection. I am wondering if others are having this probelm or if maybe my phone us defective.

I have had the same issue for a few days now where I'd push a number, and nothing would happen. Frustrating. So, I went into 'settings' while in the phone, and put DTMF from Normal to Long, and it works for me.
