I don't really have any solution per se, but let me ask you a question or two. How long ago was it that this happened? has it been long enough that you are 100% sure the phone is dry? The reason I ask this is because if there is/are still small beads of moisture resting in places inside the phone then they could be closing circuits causing your selection to be affected. In which case I would discontinue issue until you are one hundred percent sure the phone is dry. So how would you dry a phone or be 100% sure it is dry? Take the battery, sim, and SD out of the phone place a small amount of rice in a baggie big enough to hold the phone with the back off and set the whole thing aside in a warm place. Not direct sunlight and not a hot place. No cars, ovens, or window sills. I'd put at least 1/4 cup if not more rice in a sandwich bag. Rice is cheap compared to my phone I'd use more, I'm just saying. And allow it to sit for 24 to 48 hours. The moisture will eventually evaporate and the rice will be thirsty and absorb it. Then try reassembling the phone and testing it. If on the other hand your sure it's been long enough for everything to be dry I'd say you have what you have, and it's time to begin considering alternatives.
