Issue with Facebook vs Gmail vs phone numbers

I just got my EVO. I entered my Facebook and Gmail account information when I set up the phone. This is my first smartphone and I'm used to just having a file of phone lists. Now my contacts are a mishmash of duplicates, Facebook friends I will never call, E-mail only listings etc. How or can I create some type of file with just phone number contacts? Is there an app for that?

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

I think within your people app if you go to settings, you can find ways to filter out which contacts you want and don't want on there. You can completely nix off your gmail account I believe.

Also, you can link duplicate profiles... It's kind of a pain, but possible.

You can link the duplicate profiles. Just go into one of your duplicate contacts and tap the Link icon at the top right. To filter your view in the people contact list, tap menu -> view and pick which contact lists you want to display.
