Issue with SMS and Dialing In Pie

Hi all, s9+ running Android Pie for about a week.

One issue.. I use the stock native Samsung messages app for sms. I find that if I'm having an sms chat, when I close it, the phone dials the contact. Not all the time but enough to make me concerned.

Anyone else experience this and is there a fix?

Is there a hot key I'm pressing that I don't know of?
