Issues activating Note 3 at bestbuy

I was there at 10am this morning to get my note 3 preorder through Verizon. After an hour, they told me that all the bestbuy mobile stores were having issues activating the Note 3 with Verizon. The Verizon site was saying that the ESN they were putting in was not a Verizon phone... I left without the phone :(

Anyone else have this issue or hear of it?
 
i just got my verizon note 3 delivered and it is also not wanting to activate. i am using the sim it came with and not the one in my previous phone.
 
Have you tried to use your previous SIM card? They wouldn't let me try that. What error are you getting?
 
Yes, I had the identical issue. Supposedly it is a nationwide issue, not just Best Buy either. Walmart and Verizon stores are also supposedly having the same issues. I called Best Buy about 30 minutes ago and they said the issue was still happening. Kind of bummed. Hoping they fix it today since I have to work 12 hour shifts the next 3 days.
 
Yeah, this really sucks bigtime... Someone is probably going to get fired lol.

Bestbuy said they would call me back when I am able to activate it. Sigh.

I got mine at best buy today in Houston. Didn't experience that problem.

LOL yea, someone will definitely get fired over this mess up.

They told me that they would call me as well. We will see.....

What time? Maybe they got the issue fixed?
 
I got my Note 3 at best buy on Verizon this morning as soon as they opened at 10am. I was in and out in ten minutes with no issues. I'm in Dallas TX. I wonder if I just happened to get out before it started happening?

Fedex just delivered my N3 and I too am not able to activate. Also concerned because only showing 3G as I try to activate...I live in a 4G area. :(
 
I also pre-ordered the Note 3 and had activation issues. I went to the Verizon store and they swapped the SIM card. Activated just fine afterwards.

Activated on the Verizon business web portal without issue about 30mins. Now piecing things back together with apps and settings :)
 
I hear Samsung have set the phone up that if you put a foreign SIM card in it first it blocks the phone. You can roam later, but first SIM card has to be from country of purchase. I wonder if that "feature" is misbehaving?

This is BS I already paid the 299.99 but they won't let me take the phone because they haven't upgraded the line yet. They screwed up and I have to suffer.

When I did iphone support for Apple (don't hate me I needed work!!), I fought with a customer's phone for 2 hours over the phone. Turns out the boneheads at the store where she purchased it had a bunch of activations taking place at the same time. They had the wrong box while activating the customer's phone so she had an activated iPhone, but was on someone else's IMEI number. If they have problems in the future, make sure the number ON THE PHONE matches the number ON THE BOX.
 
My Note 3 was delivered a little while ago and I just started the activation process. It has said "Activating" for several minutes. I hope this issue resolves quickly because I have waited over a month for this moment!
