Issues turning on my HTC Thunderbolt...

What happened at first was I charged the phone using a car charger meant for a different phone. This had worked plenty of times before, but the first time I left it overnight the phone wouldn't turn on anymore. So I took it to the Verizon store, told the sales rep the story and after taking the battery out he showed me that my battery was actually swollen and told me I would need a replacement.

So I bought this extended battery for my Thunderbolt which just arrived today. When I put it in and tried to turn it on, the phone vibrated and the white HTC screen came up which is all the usual, but after about 5 or 6 seconds the screen went black. A couple seconds after that the phone vibrated and the white HTC screen came up once more. This repeated for about 5 minutes until I pulled the battery out.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

No it was never rooted. But it's working now. I messed around with the boot loader and something got it working. Thanks for the help though.

It probobally got too hot there's a safety element built into the phone if it gets too hot it won't let it turn on but good to see you got it working
