Issues with Android Auto after 6.0.1 Update

Background: I have a 2016 Malibu and a droid turbo

I updated my phone to 6.0.1 last night, and now when I plug my phone into my car via USB, I don't get any sound through the Android auto display. If I connect via Bluetooth, I get sound, but I'd rather have the display on my screen. before I updated my phone, everything worked fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
