Issues with backlight buttons

Not sure if this has been discussed before so I apologize if it has been.

I have been having issues with the backlight buttons on my phone. I had the issues using community rom on all versions and with evil fascinate using ed01 modem.

Basically the buttons with flicker a lot and the menu button will randomly come on without me pressing it. It has become a real problem since it comes on while I try to text.

I have tried wiping data, cache and davlik cache but the problem still persists.

Any suggestions?

I've been having the same issue, mostly when I'm in a call all 4 soft keys will flash through out the call. I've been doing a lot of trolling here, XDA, and about every other forum I can find trying to find something. And, well, Nada. if anyone has any thought please share. Its more of an annoyance that it is happening then a problem.

Also, Yes I've done a factory wipe, went back to stock (doesn't happen then, but its stock :'( ), and running only Debloated / Deodexed right now, and wiped Cache, and Delvik. Same problem.

Do you guys have BLN and or Blinky installed? There could be some setting in there to tun the backlights off altogether...

I had BLN installed, uninstalled it and the problem is still there.

This may sound trivial but give the screen a good cleaning. I've had many times where a greasy finger print or some other type of smudge has cause the capacitive buttons to stick. I could also imagine that certain screen protectors could cause similar problems. I run mine naked so I can't vouch for that though.

I forgot about the screen cleaning thing...that is a good place to start

Oh and on the BLN/Blinky stuff, don't just uninstall and reinstall, mess with the settings. I know there is one in there for on off

The cleaning I've done, a few times. Don't have any type of BLN installed, and any programs that have that feature is disabled. I do have a ZAGG screen on, but that has been on before the 2.2 came out officially, and through the devs (Thank you again for that advancement).

Thanks to everyone responding, kinda got the feeling I may have to live with it a little longer.
