Issues with fetching email from purehost account

I have 2 email accounts set up on the phone, yahoo mail and a purehost account for business. The yahoo account works perfectly, but the purehost account will not fetch properly unless I go into the account settings and change the number of emails to down load. After changing the setting for say 50 emails to 100, it syncs the account. I don't know if the problem is with the stock mail app or with the purehost server. I also have my desktop Outlook synced to the purehost account and it has no issues. Thanks
